About
COVID19 Community Archive is community-driven digital archive of life in Saskatchewan during the COVID-19 pandemic. It uses a multi-pronged collections approach: 1) materials related to everyday life, including: personal accounts, testimonies, diaries, social media; 2) materials related to the local public discourse, including: news releases, policy changes, school closures, essential services declarations; 3) science during COVID-19, including information about: laboratory shut downs, VIDO’s response, strategic initiatives, and research delays. The collections strategy during the pandemic will be augmented by post-COVID collections, in particular, digital interviews that will accompany the collection and represent perspectives from COVID-19 survivors, essential service providers, vaccine researchers, school teachers, and parents, etc.
The project is made possible through a close partnership between the University Library and USask researchers in the College of Arts and Science
