FaceTime photography to stay connected
During the covid-19 pandemic i as a photographer wasn’t able to shoot like normal but I was determined to continue shooting! I decided to depend on FaceTime to be my camera in the last month! I had numerous messages from people wanting to set up times to shoot over the phone and it was amazing. I met people from Halifax, Belgium, Calgary and right here in Saskatoon. We would chat over FaceTime and I would help my clients pose over the phone while I took live FaceTime photos to which then I would take and edit and post on social media’s like Instagram and TikTok and gained lots of exposure for them! People love the idea. It was such a cool experience for both me and all the people I worked with and a positive outcome to a sad situation.
I am Paige Bell, the owner of Distantides photography mainly ran on Instagram. My website is also Distantides.ca! I’m a 20 year old local photographer in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan. I shoot everything from weddings, events, grads, lifestyle to editorial fashion and design. I’ve been taking photos since I could remember and I’ve been running my business for the last 4 years.
